JTB Layout Palette 2.0 updated for BricsCAD V18

JTB Layout Palette has been updated for BricsCAD V18. The app is also working for AutoCAD.

With this app you can manage drawings with many layouts easier in a palette.

Run command LAYOUTPALETTE or click to the ribbon panel to Show or Hide the Layout Palette. You can quickly browse for layout, add, delete or edit name like working on a spreadsheet. This app is for you when there are too many layouts, or the layout names are too long to effectively work with out-of-the-box in AutoCAD or BricsCAD.

Quickly show only the layouts you want to see with filters.

Edit layout names

Moving and Sorting layouts

There is a new Layout Manager in BricsCAD V18 why use this app:

  • it is not a palette. It is a modal form
  • click New layout and it add Layout8, Layout9 etc to the list instead of a 1, a 2, a 3 like JTB Layout Palette
  • It doesn't have sort A-Z, Z-A, Tab order
  • No filter

One thing in JTB Layout Palette is I make Edit Mode and non-Edit Mode. Only in Edit mode you can rename, select multiple layouts. In non-edit mode, clicking on a layout item mean make it current layout. This is a bit nuisance somehow. But at that time I might have some reasons, like I want single click instead of double click to activate layout. But while editing, user has to go up and down a lot and I don't want layout switching too many. etc.

Free trial version available that works for 30 days.
