Windows search of files with unknown extensions
Since Windows XP Find in Files only searches files with known file extensions you can use this registry file that makes the search work as you want it.
This is the content of the file:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\ContentIndex]
"FilterFilesWithUnknownExtensions"=dword:00000001
