Outlook 2007 hangs at Send/Receive Status 50%

image
Several times I have got Outlook 2007 to hang when it shows Send/Receive Status 50% or some other percentage. Typically this happens when I start Outlook after having it closed for a while. I have tried different things to get it past this problem but so far the only solution that works is to restart the computer. (Running Windows Vista and not connected to an Exchange server)

  2. Yes, I have the exact same issue and it is driving me crazy.
Google reveals that there are many references and posting about this particular issue, and no-one seems to have a clue.
Nothings seems to work: repair, re-install, shutdown virus scanner, disable add-ins or safe mode, etc.
Also check the many postings about "enventtype officelifeboathang outlook.exe"

  3. I'm not sure why but it was a long time since I got this problem but just a few minutes ago Outlook hanged when I made a search and looking through some of the emails in the search result.

  4. Same thing here, all latest updates and the only way I can shift it is to cancel the job. it is a tad annoying because Outlook wont start the next scheduled rss/email check until the last one has finished.
