Room planning in 3D as SaaS

Autodesk Labs has Project Showroom but it has a long way to go to be something useful as it is really limited in functionality.

mydeco’s room planner is in beta and looks more useful.

Have you seen other solutions where you only need an Internet browser or would you do like me using AutoCAD, AutoCAD Architecture or Revit Architecture?

  1. Another solution from France : SquareClock : http://www.squareclock.com/

Still in alpha stage, but there are some videos.

I have been impressed by a demo they made during TechDays 2008 in Paris.

  2. Project Showroom is a technology preview that establishes a vision for a service for home furnishing suppliers to enable their customers to visualize their products in real-life room settings. You should be oohing and aahing at how real the pictures look in what realtively little time it takes them to show up.
